What does it cost?

The short answer: Probably less than you think and probably more honest than the alternatives.

Because I work with a wide range of clients — from students writing admissions essays to executives drafting keynotes — I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all rate sheet. A 650-word personal statement and a 45-minute commencement address require different work, different timelines, and different rates. Quoting them the same way would be either dishonest or bad arithmetic.

Your total cost will generally depend on three things:

  • Size. A 600-word op-ed or a 100-page manuscript?
  • Task. A one-off project, a sustained campaign, or an ongoing retainer
  • Complexity. Deep-dive technical research, or a structural polish on a draft you’ve already shaped?
  • Urgency. A comfortable timeline, or a deadline that requires me to clear other work?
